RMI-GRI Stakeholder Informational Session:
Advancing reporting on minerals due diligence

24 April 2019

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) share a common objective to improve the quality and comparability of companies’ public disclosures on minerals due diligence. The organizations seek to further support companies of all sizes, types, and geographies to develop and publish meaningful disclosures about their company’s minerals due diligence processes and outcomes, to promote responsible production, trade, and sourcing of minerals and better meet the expectations of their stakeholders.

To this effect, GRI and RMI with the support and input from a multi-industry Corporate Leadership Group, have developed a draft minerals due diligence reporting toolkit that brings together information from internationally-recognized frameworks, expectations from regulations, and voices from relevant stakeholders including consumer-facing brands,  upstream suppliers, smelters and refiners, civil society organizations, and socially responsible investors.

GRI and RMI will host an informational session on the toolkit on Wednesday, April 24 from 13:30 to 15:00 at the OECD Minerals Forum in Paris in Room CC18.
