Webinar on Joint Scope 3, Category 1 Greenhouse Gas Reporting Guidance

The Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) has partnered with the Global Electronics Association to develop Joint Guidance for the Electronics Industry on Scope 3, Category 1 Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reporting. The Joint Guidance builds upon recent Scope 3, Category 1 guidance from the semiconductor industry – demonstrating how the RBA and the Global Electronics Association are working together to build supply chain alignment around GHG reporting rules.

Scope 3 Category 1 emissions from purchased goods and services often represent the largest share of emissions in the electronics industry, yet they remain among the most complex to measure and manage. In this webinar, the Responsible Business Alliance and Global Electronics Association will introduce new industry guidance designed to help companies strengthen Scope 3 Category 1 accounting and accelerate supplier engagement and decarbonization efforts.

The webinar will highlight practical approaches to improving emissions estimates, from spend-based methods to supplier-specific primary data, tailored to the realities of the electronics value chain. Participants will also hear directly from two electronics companies featured as case studies in the guidance, who will share insights from their Scope 3 Category 1 journeys and best practices for improving data quality and engaging suppliers.
