This free event is geared toward Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) members, non-member companies, and stakeholders including government representatives, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations. The meeting will focus on practical steps to conduct due diligence in mineral supply chains to help companies meet regulatory requirements and align with company best practices on emerging issues.
Companies have gained important knowledge and experience about the practice of identifying and managing risks in mineral supply chains. How are company approaches being leveraged for broader “responsible minerals” due diligence that includes other raw materials beyond 3TG in addition to broader environmental, social and governance risk areas? This meeting will present concrete and current examples of how practical tools are being developed and used throughout the supply chain to drive consistent and progressive messaging from downstream buyers on cobalt specifically as well as other materials. Companies, practitioners, and stakeholders will share their recommendations on how aligned collective approaches, supplier communication and capacity building, and progressive goal-setting moves the needle on responsible mineral sourcing.
The discussions will be conducted in English. Space is limited so you must register in advance.
All sessions are conducted under the Chatham House Rule.
