Responsible Minerals Inititative: Open Stakeholder Consultation - Emerging Risks
24 April 2019
4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Room CC13
The RMI invites our stakeholders, members and partners for an open consultation on selected tools and programs with a view to inform their development or revisions. During this session, the RMI invites stakeholders to provide their views on the following topics:
- Risk Readiness Assessment: The RMI is reviewing its Risk Readiness Assessment platform in 2019. Our review process includes the standards included in the Standards Comparison, the issue areas integrated in the RRA as well as the process to determine the industry norm. Stakeholders will learn about the review process and will be invited to share their thoughts and feedback on the areas under review.
- Blockchain Guidelines: The RMI is asking for inputs from our stakeholders on the Blockchain Guidelines, in particular looking for:
- Feedback on the implementation of the Guidelines;
- Suggestions for additional topics to be addressed by the Guidelines;
- Examples of governance and incentive models to enable positive impacts of the application of blockchain technology on supply chain actors and local communities.
- Minerals Grievance Platform: The RMI is requesting feedback on the new Minerals Grievance Platform where interested key stakeholders have an opportunity to test out the Demo version of the Platform and submit their feedback through a survey or in person during this consultation meeting. Specifically, we are looking for feedback on the platform design and functionalities, as well as grievance review and mitigation process.
