This event on the sidelines of the 2024 UN Forum on Business and Human Rights will convene a closed-door, roundtable discussion for stakeholders from across private sector, governments and civil society to exchange insights and strategies on preparing for the implementation of mandatory human rights due diligence (HRDD) requirements, in particular the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive. Held under Chatham House rules, this forum aims to foster candid dialogue among participants, enabling them to share experiences and challenges in integrating HRDD into their operations and supply chains with a focus on how to ensure that implementation of MHRDD regulatory frameworks optimally benefits the rights of migrant workers. This includes exploring how businesses can proactively address potential risks and ensure that the implementation of mandatory HRDD effectively protects the rights and welfare of this vulnerable group. A key objective of the event will be to provide companies with feasible avenues for deepened engagement with migrant workers and other affected stakeholders in due diligence processes.

Lunch is offered and will be served during the event.
