EICC Leadership Circle

The EICC held its inaugural Leadership Circle event in 2016, where sustainability experts from leading companies gathered to discuss key challenges facing the industry and strategies to address those challenges. These strategies, in turn, led to the creation of important initiatives for the EICC, including the Responsible Raw Materials Initiative, Responsible Labor Sourcing Initiative, and Factory of Choice Program.

Building on the success from last year’s event, we are excited to announce several key changes to the 2017 EICC Leadership Circle:

This year’s event will be “invite only” to attract the leaders, decision makers, and influencers in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) space that represent the most progressive companies.
The 2017 Leadership Circle will focus on the industry’s leadership in CSR within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through the lens of these globally accepted challenges we will design a strategic roadmap for the industry.
This year, representatives from a variety of industries will be invited to convene a wider representation of CSR leadership.

Join other committed, like-minded leaders for this invitation-only event May 23-24 at the MGM National Harbor just outside Washington D.C. The Leadership Circle discussions will be facilitated by Caroline Rees, president and co-founder of the Shift Project. Invited speakers include representatives from the United Nations and major companies across leading industries in CSR who will share insights and best practices related to the SDGs.

The Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) has been a leader for years in combatting human trafficking and forced labor in member supply chains through advanced policies, tools and programs. Recognizing that advancing this work will require cross-industry commitment, the EICC is launching a new multi-industry, multi-stakeholder effort called the Responsible Labor Sourcing Initiative (RLSI). Join us at this event to learn more about the electronic industry’s progress on this important issue and the promise of this exciting initiative.

Featuring Speaker United States Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, Susan P Coppedge, this session will also include a panel discussion with experts in forced labor due diligence and a cocktail reception afterwards.
